Event-based gateway used wrongly
The check bpmnlint/event-based-gateway, in the group Modelling rules.
Why it matters
An event-based gateway waits for the first of several events, so it needs at least two ways out and none of them may be conditional.
How to fix it
Give the gateway two or more outgoing flows to events, and remove their conditions.
Where you see it
The editor puts a marker on the element while you draw, and the Problems tab of the sidebar lists it under Rules, with the rule name bpmnlint/event-based-gateway. In a terminal, penstock check --only rules reports it.
To change how strict this rule is, set event-based-gateway to error, warn or off in your .bpmnlintrc. See Validation.
