Element with no incoming or outgoing flow
The check bpmnlint/no-disconnected, in the group Modelling rules.
Why it matters
An element nothing leads to or from is either forgotten or dead.
How to fix it
Connect the element to the flow, or delete it.
Where you see it
The editor puts a marker on the element while you draw, and the Problems tab of the sidebar lists it under Rules, with the rule name bpmnlint/no-disconnected. In a terminal, penstock check --only rules reports it.
To change how strict this rule is, set no-disconnected to error, warn or off in your .bpmnlintrc. See Validation.
