Guide / Every rule
Two identical flows between the same elements
The check bpmnlint/no-duplicate-sequence-flows, in the group Modelling rules.
Why it matters
Two flows from the same source to the same target either do the same twice or say nothing the first one did not.
How to fix it
Delete the duplicate flow.
Where you see it
The editor puts a marker on the element while you draw, and the Problems tab of the sidebar lists it under Rules, with the rule name bpmnlint/no-duplicate-sequence-flows. In a terminal, penstock check --only rules reports it.
To change how strict this rule is, set no-duplicate-sequence-flows to error, warn or off in your .bpmnlintrc. See Validation.
