Gateway with one way in and one way out
The check bpmnlint/superfluous-gateway, in the group Modelling rules.
Why it matters
A gateway with one flow in and one out does nothing but sit in the way.
How to fix it
Delete the gateway and connect its neighbours.
Where you see it
The editor puts a marker on the element while you draw, and the Problems tab of the sidebar lists it under Rules, with the rule name bpmnlint/superfluous-gateway. In a terminal, penstock check --only rules reports it.
To change how strict this rule is, set superfluous-gateway to error, warn or off in your .bpmnlintrc. See Validation.
