Terminate end event that terminates nothing
The check bpmnlint/superfluous-termination, in the group Modelling rules.
Why it matters
A terminate end event outside a parallel path ends the same as an ordinary end event, and suggests something more.
How to fix it
Use an ordinary end event.
Where you see it
The editor puts a marker on the element while you draw, and the Problems tab of the sidebar lists it under Rules, with the rule name bpmnlint/superfluous-termination. In a terminal, penstock check --only rules reports it.
To change how strict this rule is, set superfluous-termination to error, warn or off in your .bpmnlintrc. See Validation.
