Connection doubles back along itself

The check drawing/backtrack, in the group Drawing.

Why it matters

A line that overshoots and returns along itself reads as one line and hides its own bend.

How to fix it

Delete the extra bend of the connection.

Where you see it

The Problems tab lists it under Problems, and outlines the element on the canvas. In a terminal, penstock check --only drawing reports it as BACKTRACK. Auto layout often fixes it for the whole diagram at once.
