Connection in the file but not on the canvas
The check drawing/lost-connection, in the group Drawing.
Why it matters
The file describes a connection that the editor did not draw, so it is invisible and cannot be selected.
How to fix it
Connect the two elements again on the canvas; the stray connection is dropped when the file is saved.
Where you see it
The Problems tab lists it under Problems, and outlines the element on the canvas. In a terminal, penstock check --only drawing reports it as LOST-CONNECTION. Auto layout often fixes it for the whole diagram at once.
